Obsidian is our signature dark roast Colombian decaf coffee, crafted in the style of a classic Italian espresso — full-bodied and bold, with smooth intensity and tasting notes of dark chocolate, brown sugar, and a whisper of cinnamon. Perfect as a decaf espresso or in milk drinks.
Direct‑sourced from Finca El Vergel, a family‑owned estate in Tolima, Colombia, lovingly managed by the Bayter family—Elias, Shady, and their mother Martha. Guided by coffee expert Miguel Jimenez, they’ve transformed their high-elevation farm from avocados to specialty coffee since 2016.
This single-origin decaf is a Castillo varietal, naturally processed and decaffeinated at origin using the sugarcane (ethyl acetate) method, preserving the coffee’s bright acidity and sweet fruit character while reducing caffeine to ~0.1%.
